CPD at the Tall Buildings Conference is a must-see for fire safety in high-rise buildings
If you want expert guidance on best practice in façade design and fire safety compliance in high-rise buildings, we highly recommend a CPD presentation taking place on 19 July at the Tall Buildings Conference.
Presented in conjunction with Stamisol UK, the CPD is one the must-see items on an outstanding event programme.
Presentation subject: Why Euroclass A2 facade membranes play an essential role for fire safety concepts for high-rise buildings
Venue: Bishopsgate, Central London
Time/date: 19 July, 12.45pm
The presentation will be led by Allan Hurdle, a consultant for Stamisol UK. Allan has been raising awareness of the availability of Euroclass A2 Vertical breather membranes in the UK market, developed for additional building safety. He has been in the industry for over 30 years, specialising in smoke control and HVAC products. Allan is involved with several of the post-Hackitt report Industry Response Groups and is chair of the BSI H25/05 working-group on new guides for service and maintenance of smoke products. Allan recently provided articles on competence for the CIBSE journal and on the SCA UKAS approved IFC scheme for the CIC.
The CPD covers a wide range of topics including building types, fire codes, testing, EN standards, certification and compliance. It provides a greater understanding of:
– Issues related to combustible products
– Measures taken to improve fire safety
– The various Euroclasses
– The importance of A2 s1 d0 limited combustibility and W1 water resistance
– Why independent testing is vital
In a post-Grenfell construction sector, best practice in the design of façade membranes is a vital part of fire strategy in high-rise and high-risk buildings. Advances in membrane technology have made it possible to enhance the safety concept with effective solutions which meet the Euroclass A2 standards required by law for other vertical wall elements such as cladding.
ITP are the UK suppliers of Stamisol Safe One, the only breather membrane in the UK to offer a Class A2-s1,d0 under the Euroclass system and a W1 rating for water resistance
