ITP sheeting brought on board for boat building project

ITP’s high-performance keder sheeting has been used in the construction of a temporary structure to facilitate a boat building project in the heart of Whitby harbour.

One of the UK’s leading boat builders, Parkol Marine Engineering, commissioned RDL Scaffolding to develop a scaffold-based solution including keder roofing, utilising a range of systems and materials supplied by Altrad Generation. The structure was fully encapsulated with ITP’s Powerclad FR Keder 2000 sheeting installed to each elevation and on the roof, providing robust containment and weather protection which is suitable for exposed coastal locations. The sheeting is manufactured from a heavy-duty, flame-retardant reinforced PVC material with extremely high tensile strength.

RDL also chose to use our materials to support a more sustainable approach, making the system reusable and minimising waste at the end of the project.”

Powerclad FR Keder 2000 is one of a wide range of options within ITP’s range of site protection and containment systems. The company also manufactures scaffold sheeting which is suitable for all tube fittings and modular scaffold systems. The product is available in flame-retardant grades that have third party approval to the highest standards – TS 62 certification for external use and T 63 certification for internal use – in both plain and printed form.  Other products in ITP’s range include temporary fencing, vented and filter sheeting, acoustic barriers, debris netting and insulated sheeting.
