ITP’s Powerclad Filter Sheeting was installed on scaffolding to handle the demanding local conditions of a major housing project in Finland.
The product was supplied via our Exports division for Finnish company, Ramirent, one of Europe’s leading equipment rental companies with branches in various countries across Europe, including Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Scaffolding is an important part of Ramirent’s comprehensive product range, which also includes weather protection systems such as sheeting for both facades and roofs.
The housing project in Finland posed an unusual combination of environmental challenges which included the need for protection against high winds and effective ventilation around the scaffold structure along with a high standard of flame retardancy. Providing a range of attributes to meet those demands, Powerclad Filter Sheeting was a clear choice for Ramirent in supporting protection and containment on site.
Available in roll sizes of 3.12m by 50m, the sheeting consists of a finely woven but very strong mesh, acting as an extremely effective barrier against dust and debris. It is not only stronger than conventional scaffold sheeting but also facilitates air exchange, minimizing the effect of high winds. Protection is provided against direct rain or snow, with just a thin mist developing on the inside of the sheet.
ITP Export Manager, Peter Winter, said:
“Powerclad Filter Sheeting is one of our most exported products. It’s ideal for exposed locations with a high risk of wind acceleration. It has become the solution of choice for many petrochemical contractors and is specified by operators such as Equinor and Maersk for their most demanding projects.
