ITP’s Powerclad FR scaffold sheeting has been used to facilitate the construction of a major high-rise development of shared ownership properties in South London.
Developer Square Roots has launched the project providing 141 properties comprising one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two bedroom duplexes located in the heart of the regeneration of Lewisham. The scheme also includes ample cycle storage and the creation of a riverside public realm with landscaped gardens, play areas, and communal terraces.
Temporary site protection specialist, Ockwell, has supplied a scaffolding solution including a flame-retardant grade of Powerclad FR sheeting with Square Roots branding printed by ITP’s in-house printing facilities. Powerclad FR sheeting has fire retardancy certification to TS 62 for external use and TS 63 for internal use, in both plain and printed form, providing full compliance with projects valued over £2.5 million under the Joint Code of Practice on the Protection from Fire of Construction Sites and Buildings Undergoing Renovation.
ITP Account Manager, Grahame Hunter, said:
“Supplying Powerclad FR on this scale for a development of this size and value is the latest example of our scaffold sheeting solutions serving some of London’s largest construction projects. The product’s fire retardancy credentials are independently tested by Certifire, one of two recognised testing bodies in the UK. Our ability to supply authentic certification provides peace of mind for scaffold suppliers, scaffold contractors and main contractors as they know that the safety compliance is 100% reliable.”
