POWERCLAD FR products are certified Flame Retardant. Printed Powerclad FR products, for both flexographic or digital processes, are also certified Flame Retardant.
In accordance with the Fire Protection Association Joint Code of Practice on the protection from fire of construction sites and buildings undergoing renovation, for a product to be certified as Flame Retardant, it must be accredited by either LPCB LPS 1027 and LPS 1215 or Exova Warrington Fire Certifier TS62 and TS63 accreditation schemes. Both schemes require subjecting products to rigorous flame retardant tests performed by an independent and UCAS accredited test laboratory and on-going monitoring and inspection of the company’s manufacturing and Quality Assurance processes.
Each batch of Powerclad FR is inspected and tested before being placed on the market in order to verify compliance with the product specification. The Flame Retardant certificate number is printed at regular intervals on the product, in compliance with the Standard’s requirements.
