Celebrating 22 Years of Global Impact: Peter Winter Retires from ITP

After more than two decades of dedication, leadership and global achievement, Peter Winter officially retired from ITP in February 2026.

Peter was head of our thriving exports operation. His retirement marks the close of an important chapter in ITP’s history, one that has seen the company grow its international footprint and strengthen its reputation as a trusted supplier of engineered textiles across the world.

A career that shaped global growth

When Peter joined ITP in 2004, the global landscape looked very different.  The first season of the Apprentice, starring a New York businessman called Donald Trump, was launched on US television. Social media was in its infancy and the first iPhone was still three years away from being launched. The tools, technologies and expectations that now define global trade simply didn’t exist in the same way.

Peter steered ITP’s global trade during a rapidly evolving world driven by digital transformation, increasing global competition, and ever-changing regulatory environments, continuing to deliver reliable, high-quality service to customers worldwide.

He has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s export operations and international reach. At a time when ITP was continuing its early expansion into overseas markets, Peter helped to develop what a highly experienced and well-connected export function supporting projects worldwide.

Today, ITP supplies advanced protective materials across construction, environmental, petrochemical, marine and defence sectors, with products used in demanding environments around the globe. Exports now form a significant part of the business, with ITP delivering to around 30 countries and supporting major infrastructure and industrial projects internationally.

Peter’s leadership, knowledge of international markets, and commitment to customer relationships have been instrumental in achieving this growth. From navigating complex logistics to building long-term partnerships across Europe, North America and beyond, his contribution has left a lasting legacy.

A well-deserved send-off

To celebrate Peter’s remarkable career, colleagues gathered for a special event at The Forge, Birdforth Hall. It was a fitting occasion to recognise his achievements, with the entire ITP team in attendance alongside Peter’s wife and daughter.

In honour of his retirement, ITP closed for the afternoon, reflecting the high regard in which Peter is held across the business and the impact he has made over the past 22 years.

Passing the baton

As Peter steps into retirement, he leaves the export function in strong and capable hands. Responsibility now passes to International Sales Manager, Will Reasbeck, who will build on the solid foundations Peter has established.

With a deep understanding of ITP’s markets and customers, Will is well placed to continue driving the company’s international growth, developing new opportunities while maintaining the high standards and relationships that have been central to Peter’s success.

Thank you, Peter

Peter has been a key figure in shaping ITP’s global outlook, strengthening its international relationships, and supporting its continued growth. Everyone at ITP would like to thank Peter for his dedication, professionalism and friendship over the years, and we wish him a long, happy and well-earned retirement.
