ITP supports local youths with donation to community hub
ITP is supporting a much-valued local community hub with a £500 donation towards the Cozie Youth Club in Easingwold.
Club Chairperson, Alan Hake, visited ITP’s nearby offices to accept a cheque from ITP Managing Director, Carl Morse. The amenity for 11-18 year olds, which has around 50-60 members in total, has been operating for over 25 years.
With an aim to provide recreational and leisure opportunities in the interest of social welfare, Cozie (which stands for Chill out zone in Easingwold) organises a wide range of outdoor activities for local youths including trips to the seaside, bowling, football, and cricket and rounders at Millfield’s Park. Various indoor activities are also held at the club, including sessions covering healthy eating, sex education, and drug awareness.
Carl said:
“Alan and the rest of the team at Cozie are making things better for youngsters in the Easingwold area by providing a safe place for them to interact and enjoy their leisure time in a responsible way. It’s very popular. The club aims to support them in any area of need they have, as well as promoting good physical and mental health. It’s a fantastic set-upand ITP are proud to support our local youth community. We wish them well and hopefully our donation will help the club to continue to thrive.”
Cozie is open for two hours every Tuesday and Thursday night through term time, alongside a biweekly Monday mindfulness night, and organises a wide range of activities during the school holidays. The club is located a few minutes’ drive ITP’s head office and factory, which manufactures a range of advanced protective textiles used in construction.
