FlameOut Block Specified for Pioneering Net-Zero-Carbon Project

ITP supplied our FlameOut Block vapour control layer for this exciting and pioneering net-zero-carbon project where modern methods of construction will form a key part of the delivery of the development.

Designed by KTA Architects, the Plymouth Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) will provide 91,000 diagnostic tests each year in a highly sustainable new building. The facility will allow high-quality diagnostic tests to be offered to people close to where they live, with city centre travel links making it easier to attend appointments. The CDC is seen as key to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust’s Future Hospital programme which is designed to bring care to people where they need it most.

FlameOut Block was specified to perform a key function in enhancing the building’s air tightness while preventing moisture within the interior’s warm air from reaching the insulation layer.
