FlameOut Block Class A2 vapour control layer was used for the major redevelopment of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, helping to support the transformation of one of the UK’s leading paediatric healthcare facilities.

The £65 million project includes a striking new glazed main entrance alongside a new three-storey elective care hub, expanded clinical facilities and a state-of-the-art intraoperative MRI (iMRI) suite.

FlameOut Block Class A2 has been installed within the external wall build-up to enhance airtightness, control moisture and support the long-term performance of the building envelope. With a Euroclass A2-s1, d0 fire classification, FlameOut Block Class A2 provides the high levels of fire performance, durability and reliability required for modern healthcare and other higher-risk buildings.
